Has anyone considered using MasterBook for a supers game? I have. It's quite easy, but requires a little work on your own. You have all the tools built into the main book. The Special Effects (SFX) rules starting on page 135 details what it takes to make a power. The worksheet (downloadable here) puts it all together. I'm also working on a web page to do the calculations for you. This system makes powers/spells based on the value system, so you can quantity ranges, durations, damage, etc., with loads of options. The base values are quick to make, with the options taking a bit more time. The value scale also lets you easily create characters of mammoth strength or super-genius. You just need to add more points to character creation. Give it a shot. I think you'll like it. |
