Based on the popular StarCluster RPG, The Book of Jalan is a self-contained game set on the world of Jalan, an isolated planet in the Star Cluster. It is much like Earth during the Renaissance, with its great wooden sailing ships, black powder guns and cannon, fencing, alchemy, and tantalizing experiments into steam power.

But there is something odd about Jalan. Its people have changed and developed over a million years, free from extraplanetary influence, because the entire world is under quarantine. And there is a reason. For unlike any other race in the Star Cluster, Jalan's inhabitants have evolved magic of their own.

The Book of Jalan uses the Starcluster 2 system, a character-oriented d100 system. The magic/PSI system is free-form and skill based, with a separation between learned skills and innate power. Using PSI depletes the mage of attribute points and life points -- power comes at a price.

The Book of Jalan is a single book containing everything you need to run a campaign on Jalan, and it is compatible with all StarCluster 2 products.
