Humans ride giant birds into combat, and sail great skyships hewn from the floating stone that underlies their skylands. The only magic is Alchemy, which creates potions and powders from the magical plants and monsters of the surface. Wild human tribes live on the surface, skulking about in hiding from the horrible creatures which hunt them.
