There's quite a few third-party titles on this site. I thought I'd touch on a few today. I want to convince you to try them, because I think they are really good.

The Creature Crafter: Word Mill has a knack for creating GM tools and this book is no exception. It lets you build custom monsters for just about any system. It does the job quickly and easily.

Nursery Tales Paper Mini Set: Arion Games is the master at computer-rendered 3D paper miniatures. This set features iconic figures from nursery tales, like the big bad wolf, little pigs, and the gingerbread man. Best of all, you can have most of their minis sets available here printed to order in full-color. And here's a hint: if you want more than one printed copy, once you buy the PDF, you can have them printed after the fact (LINK -- just change the quantity in your shopping cart once the post-sale printing item is added. Unfortunately, they are not formatted with armies of figures in mind like Disposable Heroes, but Arion Games and Precis Intermedia intend to change that with new sets combining their artwork with Disposable Heroes' flexibility.

In Harm's Way: Dragons!: Now this is one interesting game. Flying Mice Games is known for historical roleplaying. Create a British, American, or French role during the Napoleonic era and then choose either human or dragon. They fight on the same side depending on the nationality. Imagine aerial dragon fights.

That's it for now. Give them a shot. I'll reveal some other hidden gems next time. | 3 Comments | Add Comment | Permanent Link | | Return to Overview | krakajak Commented: | Sep 15, 2009 | 9:58 pm | |
