NWD Extended Wounds
More detailed wounding rules for New World Disorder.
Contributor: Precis IntermediaCreated: Jan 29, 2009Modified: Jan 19, 2019System: New World Disorder

This option adds more detail to the mechanism for wounding characters. Replace the first paragraph of Section 9.3 in the New World 2E rule-book with the following: When a maiming roll results in a wound, it represents a grievous injury that seriously impairs the character’s actions. Each wound that the character receives reduces an ability rating by one, thereby reducing the number of action dice that can be expended for it. Make a D6 roll and consult the Extended Wound Table to determine which ability is affected, as well as other outcomes. The player whose character is wounded can opt to make guts the affected ability rather than what is rolled. Wounds are cumulative, reducing action dice until none remain or the character is taken out of play. Check an appropriate wound box for each wound received by the character for the specific ability.
