The following are some rules suggestions on how to use Active Exploits Take 2 to run a game set in the world popularized by the Matrix Trilogy. New Ability Focus
The ability to manipulate the Matrix to suit the person’s perspective. The amount of mastery over this ability shows just how much a person can modify the parameters of the Matrix. Rumors say that the One can actually rewrite entire sections of the Matrix, shaping it to his vision. Focus can be used for the following effects while the Character is in the Matrix:

•	Additional Effort for Fitness Based Skills and Flairs

•	2 Focus points may be spent in the place of 1 point of Luck (if used this way, the Focus score temporarily goes down until the end of the Session).

New Gimmicks Freeborn
The character is one of the people born outside of the Matrix and do not have a plug-in node at the base of their skull. Rescued
The character was originally from the Matrix but was subsequently freed. Fugitive
The character is known to and is hunted down by the Agents in the Matrix. Download
The character can be fed information by an Operator in the real world. The character can gain a Skill at the “Proficient” level in exchange for a level of Fatigue. The Character retains this Skill as long as he does not recover the committed Fatigue. The loss of Fatigue due to Dowloading is recovered as soon as the Skill is dropped. In the same way, the Fatigue incurred by the Download cannot be “healed” as long as the Skill remains downloaded into the character’s mind. There is no limit to the number of Skills that can be crammed into a character’s brain, but Operators will oftentimes refuse to allow more than 3 ongoing downloads to insure the safety of the Rebel. If a character already possesses the skill, then the Download gimmick would only be capable of bringing it up to “Proficient”. So a character with a rating of Novice in say, driving a motorcycle, would benefit, but a character who already learned how to do so at a proficient level would not. Alternate Downloads: If the campaign is using the Dementia rules, then the Director may instead choose to make a Download cost Dementia rather than Fatigue to simulate the fact that the character’s mind is being made to contain a large volume of data without the benefits of gradual learning.
