The following information should assist in moving both characters and spacecraft from Star Ace™ to HardNova II. Star Ace is a trademark of Philip Reed and Christopher Shy. All rights reserved. Characters
Abilities
•  Abilities in Star Ace must be converted to GDi abilities. First determine the abilities to which Star Ace abilities correspond. If one is listed as non-existent, use your best judgement.

•  Skill descriptions can either remain the same or be consolidated into skills from the GDi rules. Consult the table below to determine skill ratings. The gamemaster should choose the appropriate value based on the ranges provided, or simply use the value in parentheses.

Gimmicks
•  The following gimmicks may be common for Star Ace spacecraft, and should be assigned using your best judgment.

hyperspace generator (standard on most craft, usually supralight speeds of +2 to +3)
passenger quarters
shuttle bay
troops bay
Weapons
•  Spacecraft weaponry in Star Ace typically consists of lasers, plasma guns, and missiles. Lasers should be converted to laser cannons (see table below). Plasma guns should be converted to particle cannons regardless of damage strength, and missiles should be converted to hunter-killer missiles or rocket batteries.
