These notes are provided to refine the order in which characters act, so that they are less abstract and more defined for those who prefer linear action. All characters declare their intended actions at the beginning of the turn (additional actions are decided just before they occur).
For example: Jaquin chooses to attack Suenta, Kolby chooses to run for cover, and Suenta chooses to defend himself.
Once the reaction roll has been made and an order is determined for the turn, each character performs his declared action in sequence. If a character has been knocked down or otherwise blocked from carrying out his action, he is either not given the chance to start it or prevented from completing it. If a character is attacked and he chose the defend action, he may perform it if in a position to do so. He may not defend against subsequent attacks in the same turn, however, unless he has additional actions remaining—if a character defended against an attack already this turn, but has an extra action available to him, he may defend another attack regardless of the reaction order.
For example: Suenta defends against Jaquin’s attack, but Kolby also attacks. If Suenta gained an additional action this turn, he may block Kolby’s attack as well, so long as he was not kocked down from Suenta’s attack.
The order in which characters act is then repeated if any of them can perform additional actions.
For example: Suenta gained two extra actions this turn. After he attacks and the other characters have also acted, he can perform another action, such as attacking again.
