Lowdown: You are the specialized type of fool who is brave (or dumb) enough to go inside huge pipes and tunnels beneath elaborate terraforming projects on strange, alien worlds to make sure they are running efficiently. You don’t want to give up the search. If your fiancee is dead, closure would be a relief. If she is alive, you are willing to climb through the most wretched pipes on this side of New Brooklyn if it means saving her.
