The following information should assist in moving characters from Deep7’s Arrowflight™ fantasy game to Iron Gauntlets: Heroic Fantasy Roleplaying.

Abilities
Stats in Arrowflight must be converted to abilities First determine the abilities to which stats correspond. Stat and Ability ratings are roughly equivalent, so just keep the same value. Ratings over six (6), however, are not allowed for player characters, so they must be reduced to six (6).

* Distribute an amount of points equal to the perception stat plus three among awareness, creativity, and influence. Remember, an ability cannot go above six.

** The mana and spirit stats can be used as magical abilities, either replacing or complementing crafting, divinity, and totem in your game.

If a character’s strength stat is greater than his fitness average by more than one, add the musclebound gimmick. If it is less by more than one, add the frail gimmick.

If a character’s agility stat is greater than his fitness average by more than one, add the sure-footed gimmick. If it is less by more than one, add the clumsy gimmick.



Skills
Skills from Arrowflight should be converted to the closest match in Iron Gauntlets. Some will not be able to be converted, however, and can be replaced with a number of experience points equal to their value distributed among the skills covered by the relevant ability.

Magical skills should be used as-is. The base difficulty and any difficulty modifiers indicated for each spell remain the same, as do armor and damage values. Like crafting-based effects, a mana/spirit composure roll should be made after each use (see page 46 of Iron Gauntlets v1.5). Magical effects can be resisted/contested.
