XPG™ to genreDiversion i Conversion
Notes for converting characters from Deep7's XPG System.

The following information should assist in moving characters from Deep7’s XPG™ games to a genreDiversion i-based games, such as HardNova ][.

Abilities
Stats in the XPG games must be converted to abilities. First determine the abilities to which stats correspond.

GDi Ability XPG Stat 
fitness average of strength, dexterity, and agility 
awareness perception* 
creativity perception* 
reasoning intelligence 
influence perception* 

* Distribute an amount of points equal to the perception stat plus three among awareness, creativity, and influence. Remember, an ability cannot go above five.

Stat and Ability ratings are roughly equivalent, so just keep the same value. Ratings over five (5), however, are not allowed for player characters, so they must be reduced to five (5).

If a character’s strength stat is greater than his fitness average by more than one, you may add a gimmick which assists tasks when based on strength (such as musclebound). If it is less by more than one, add a gimmick which does the opposite (such as weak). Do the same with agility and dexterity if the director allows and the GDi-based game in use includes the relevant gimmicks.

Skills
Skills from an XPG-based game should be converted to their closest matches in genreDiversion i. Consult the table below to determine skill ratings.

Gimmicks
Some of XPG’s traits and tags can also be converted to GDi’s gimmicks. Since these can vary by game, please use your best judgement.
