Portray action heroes and superheroes in this exciting roleplaying game of heroic exploits. Forego the usual system of having attribute scores, classes, and levels. Action and Adventure focuses on what characters can do by assigning them abilities, rather than how they compare to others. This means less math, less work, and more action. Requires only two or more 6-sided dice.

A selection of over 200 abilities means being able to play a wide variety of heroes. And most of them can be upgraded in different ways. This means that you can build up a character over time until his "ideal form" is realized or play him as a paragon right off the bat. From vigilantes with extensive training to martial artists with exotic powers to wizards with wild magics, just about any type of character can be realized, including superheroes able to accomplish herculean feats.

Guidance on creating adventures and settings, and running superhero games is provided. A large number of ready-to-use non-player characters and creatures are also included for your adventures, featuring aliens, animals, mythic beasts, dinosaurs, Chthonic horrors, demons, undead, dragons, fairy folk, magical servants, plants, and robots. In fact, there is enough material to run the game for fantasy, science fiction, horror, superhero, modern-day action, time travel, urban fantasy, and other genres.

The gist of the system is, depending on your ability or lack thereof, you roll 1D6 or 2D6. 5+ is a success, 10+ is a triumph. Many actions can be resisted with an opposing success, but triumphs can only be resisted with a triumph. A single modifier can be applied to roll, either much harder, harder, easier, or much easier (-2 to +2).
