I received the Philips DVR today. Guess what. It doesn't work. It's stuck on channel 3 and that's it. Now I have to [possibly fight to] send it back. That did it for me. I'm leaning towards getting the cheap Mac Mini recently unveiled and connecting it to my TV. At least it's portable, compatible with my other devices, and makes a good backup computer. I have two extra keyboards and mice, and even two 17" monitors should I need one, so the only other thing I'd need to buy would be the Elgato TV tuner and maybe an external hard drive down the road.
Maybe I should start selling some of this older equipment on ebay. I just don't like to part with anything, because you never know when you'll need it. |
