I've been working on the Basic Rules of A Fistfull of Miniatures 2E. Unlike 1E, the basics include infantry, cavalry, chariots, engines, and leaders. There are four types of armor: none, light, heavy, and reinforced; supplemental armor includes shields, barding, and mantlets. Arms include hand weapons, pole arms, vunder weapons, slings, bows, and crossbows. There are three types of unit quality: poor, regular, and elite. The basic version of the rules also eliminates division in favor of two tables (one for ranged and one for melee attacks).

Advanced rules will add abilities and hallmarks (as opposed to just worrying about unit type) in order to make more customizable units. A third section will include fantasy elements like wizards, clerics, trolls, orcs, dragons, and the undead.
