Brett's Blog Star Trek Revisioned May 13, 2009 | 12:38 pm Has anyone seen the new Star Trek movie? I thought it was terrific. Very unTrek-like yet in a direction very similar in ethos to the original. All the characters were just right (though Scotty and Chekov became annoying fast) and the original Trek is completely separate, allowing this new incarnation to go in boldly new directions. McCoy was spot on and Kirk was perfect. There were a couple of cheesy bits, but what Star Trek doesn't have that? I can't imagine someone not enjoying this movie, but I know that many diehard trekkies have spoken out against it. I can't see why.
