As I've mentioned previously, I like Korean dramas. Whether historical or modern-era, the South Koreans produce some quality programs. I'm still watching Be Strong, Geum-Soon and Hotelier. I haven't been able to see Hotelier for some time now as it's just not available -- everyone must be watching this series. In the meantime, I started a new show, Delicious Proposal. It's got a few crazy people, Chinese restaurants, and even a trip to Hong Kong -- very strange, but enjoyable.

Currently on Saturday and Sunday evenings on MindTV (a crappy string of unreliable, independent stations), I'm watching The Iron Empress. This historical is brand new out of South Korea, telling the story of the tomboy Empress Dowager Cheon Chu, granddaughter of the first emperor of Goryeo (pre-Chosun Dynasty of Yi Soon-Shin's era).

Another good show, this one a comedy from Britain, is The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin. This show is completely nuts. The main character is totally fed up with his job and life and finds new ways to enjoy himself, including faking his own death and re-marrying his wife as someone else. And every time he mentions his mother-in-law, he sees a hippo. Quality stuff, if not surreal.
