With the switchover to DTV, all the channels are now coming in well in my neighborhood. That is, except channel 6 (ABC). Apparently, they changed their digital frequency back to VHF 6, rather than using a UHF frequency which is what DTV was designed for. All the digital antennas are optimized to pick up UHF. This means that 6 is almost impossible to pick up unless you have a great antenna. Apparently, the FCC just gave them permission to increase their transmission power. How can a major network in this day and age get such poor advice? Fire whomever is responsible for this. |
