Makes No Sense!Oct 09, 2009 | 12:37 pm
As per the previous entry, my new, cheaper internet plan went into affect. Approximately $10 less per month. I should be getting slower service, right? Wrong! My speed is now about 950Mb download and over 300Mb upload versus what was at best 864Mb/160Mb. My latency went from 60ms to 30ms. How could a cheaper plan offer better service? It makes absolutely no sense.

What really sticks in my craw is that they've been bamboozling me all this time.

Yeah, that happened to me, too -- home bandwidth got cheaper and cheaper in my town, and I kept paying the same price, until one day my speed tripled. They'd been charging me the same as other customers who signed up later and got 3x the speed.
