I ordered a Foxit eSlick PDF Reader today after seeing it on sale for $200 (link). After researching it, I decided to give it a shot to store all my PDFs on it instead of trying to figure out what DVD they are stored on. It comes with a 2GB SD card, but it can also take 4GB cards - connect the device to your computer via USB and the SD card (as well as internal memory) appear as storage devices on your desktop. It is very thin and very light. It also features an E Ink screen rather than LCD to eliminate glare and offer a really nice display. It uses Foxit's PDF reader code, so it's the next best thing for compatibility to using Adobe Reader. It also reflows PDF text for an optimized display. It's supposed to have a very good battery life, since E Ink consumes very little power. Rounding out these features is a built in MP3 player and included earphones for playing music in the background while you read. I can't wait to get this. | 2 Comments | Add Comment | Permanent Link | | Return to Overview | mtwofive Commented: | Nov 03, 2009 | 11:04 am | |
