I can no longer recommend the Foxit eSlick. I've been trying to update the firmware for weeks now. The updater software just does not work. Looking at Foxit's forums, lots of people can't update either. It always fails on steps 3 to 5. On my latest attempt, the software froze and broke my eslick. I can't get the display to turn off. It's stuck on. E-ink screens draw no power once drawn, so it doesn't really matter, but I can't even turn the stupid thing on.
In short, avoid this e-reader. I'm sending the stupid thing back. |
