I didn't realize the second round of snow was going to be this problematic -- actually the second and third round as they were two different storms right after each other. We have now beat the record for most snow in a single winter season for the area. It was so bad that a state of emergency was declared and the whole city was shut down yesterday. The snow finally stopped coming down about midnight, but it isn't going anywhere. The city is closed again today apart from emergency services. Look what happened to my neighbor's Great Myrtle -- and the porch is filled with snow that slid off the roof. All the trees are listing from the wet snow that now looks like white leaves. After digging out over the weekend, it's like no work was ever done, and it may even be deeper.

EDIT: The snowblower doesn't even work, because the dense snow gets stuck in the wheels and freezes over.

My apologies to those with Treasure Awaits! pre-orders yet to ship. They are ready to go and will reach you as soon as I can dump them in a mailbox (if your package isn't filled with too much other stuff) and the postal service takes them away. | 1 Comment | Add Comment | Permanent Link | | Return to Overview | Timeshadows Commented: | Feb 27, 2010 | 1:46 pm | |
