Disposable Heroes CoolnessMar 08, 2010 | 3:39 am
I've been working on the first step toward being able to have your custom Disposable Heroes selections printed via the PDFinPrint service. You'll soon be able to save the settings for your custom downloads. This means that once you make your selections, download, and verify them, you can save the settings on the server. You can then go back and re-download them whenever more are needed without fiddling with options.

Once that aspect of the system is finalized, I'll then be upgrading the system to add these saved settings to your shopping cart as full-color printing items. It will compute price and shipping costs automatically. For example, you can choose a multipage army of different orc figures with labels and numbering and have the pages printed and shipped to you -- or simply keep the one-touch settings on file for when you need more.

The first step (saving) is actually working quite well, but needs further testing and to be cleaned up a bit. The second step (PDFinPrint) still needs to be coded, but since most of the framework (saving, color printing, and post-sale printing) is already laid, I don't think it will be that problematic. We'll see how it goes.

In the meantime, don't forget that pre-printed Disposable Heroes sets are already available. Likewise, Arion Games' Paper Miniatures can also be printed to order in full-color (multiple pages can be printed post-sale).

It's been said to death, but "No other brand can offer the quality and flexibily of Disposable Heroes."
