Treasure Awaits and ExploitsMay 09, 2010 | 11:31 pm
A few people asked me about using genreDiversion's exploits with Treasure Awaits. I don't recommend using them from the get-go, but allow characters to earn them through experience. Each exploit should cost 10 experience or 5 for more heroic-level games. They can be used with a compatible task that results in 2 or more overkill. Treat exploits as genreDiversion's defined gimmicks: speed (v=pursuit), prowess, emotion, breakthrough (v=pursuit), rally, trust, vital hit, minimizing hit, weak hit, blinding attack, rampage, disarm, find vulnerability, grapple, ready, precision hit, arcing effect (v=spell), charged effect (v=spell), extended effect (v=spell), minimizing effect (v=spell).

For example, Legenkor the Rogue spends experience to gain the speed (foraging) exploit to reduce the time needed to find a secret door (if present), while Roden the Wizard's arcing effect (cloak item) exploit allows him to make more than one object invisible.

The exploits are describe The genreDiversion 3E Manual, spread across chapters 2 (generic), 3 (combat), and 5 (magic).
