What's next for Bloodshadows?Oct 08, 2012 | 12:54 pm
Up next for MasterBook Bloodshadows is The Unnaturals. From the back cover:

They are everywhere and nowhere. They are the shadows that follow you after sunset. They are the things that hide from you and from which you hide. They are everything your mother warned you to avoid. They are the Unnaturals.

Meet the "monsters" of Marl and learn a lesson in fear. Hear them tell you in their own words what it means to be other, and hear about the deadly and demonic from experts. From the heart of the cities to the depths of the Wilderness, meet the 'Shifters, Breeds, Demons, Undead, and things so alien that no one knows just what to call them.

The Unnaturals is a supplement for Bloodshadows, the World of Fantasy Noir. It contains details on these creatures that can be used as enemies for the characters or the unlives of the adventuring party.

Coolness!

A suggestion: if you produce Sorcerer's Crib Sheet doublecheck the math on the spells, if memory serves the fireworks spell was GROSSLY overpowered. Basically it charges anything you touch with kinetic energy sending it skyward and the weight/effect was 45 which was enough to lift the Great Pyramid of Giza. The difficulty and feedback were too low so anybody your sorcerous PCs touched would be launched into orbit.

I'll try to remember when I get to it. Yes, it will definitely be reprinted. Thanks.

An idea occurs, have you considered producing a Marl sourcebook?

Also fluffing up the Selastos city book with additional material would be awesome.

I'm not doing anything new for the line until the existing books are reprinted. I may combine some books though.

This looks really nice, might have to pick it up. Quick question, might be better asked in the forums but it's kinda related....

I have both the Masterbook and OpenD6 version of Bloodshadows, and I'm not very familiar with either system. I know they are kinds related, but other than the MB using cards, what would be the major/main differences between the systems and what would the styles or strengths each system plays to? I know Indiana Jones and Star Wars are both d6 games and would both seem to fit a pulpy/noirish kinda feel I would want for Bloodshadows (the horror.urban fantasy mash-up with pulpy/noir is what attracts me). What might make Masterbook better for BS in some folk's opinion. All I know of MB is that it was the system for Species (which never attracted me at all).

MasterBook is more cinematic and story-oriented with the card deck. It is also more structured in roll results and for creating your own special effects/powers. D6 is a little simpler to pick up, but I think MasterBook is just as simple, though not seemingly at first. Also, MasterBook scales better.

Ok thanks Brett. I'll have to think about that.
