I'm back from vacation. I had a good time in Las Vegas. Of course, I like to cook and eat good food, so my fondest memories are of the food. I'm not much of a gambler. Le Village Buffet at the Paris Hotel was great. I loved the pasta with truffle cream sauce, which was essentially mac & cheese. I didn't like their sushi though, as there was too much vinegar in the rice. Their mussels were stuffed with tiny shrimp and scallops - terrific. Twin peaks had great venison chili and serves their beer in frosted mugs - sitting on the balcony yielded a great view of the strip. Cheeseburger Brand has good burgers - I got the kobe burger, but it was a little dry - it also fell apart on me, so not the best but tasty. The best burger award goes to Gordon Ramsey's Burgr at Planet Hollywood - the Chanterelle Burger (and I tried the Britannia Burger) ruined me for all other burgers. Damn you, Gordon Ramsey. Also, Triple 7 on Fremont Street had a great, affordable menu with their own brews. The buffet at the Bellagio was also very good.
Anyway, back to work now. I should be caught up on all emails sent to me last week. Physical orders will ship tomorrow. |
