More Treasure Awaits!Aug 23, 2013 | 4:25 am
After more consideration, I changed the name of the Treasure Awaits! Companion to "More Treasure Awaits!" I also added some new rules: vegetation can not only be analyzed like poisons, but it can also produce sources of food and water, as well as poisons and elixirs. The latter is like the opposite of a poison - it can either heal or act as a pain-killer. I also finished up new experience items: trick of the trade, allies, unwavering servants, signature steed, signature armor, dominance, and animal companion. Also.. new options like cleric miracles (rather than spells), hit locations, creatures as companions, and spell feedback (rather than failure damage). So the animal companion and steed rules are done, as are parleying, taming, skulking, and lots more. But, still more work needed.

Well, this bit of info just made my day! No need to tell you i'm a huge fan of TA! It rests comfortably with a very select number of RPGs that I love to run/play. I have a book of monsters for TA! running at around 40 pages or so that I wanted to make available through your gaming license, but have been holding off doing so for the next book to arrive. Question of making sure nothing conflicts. I'd love a chance to send it your way though, provided you think a book of beasts would be a welcome addition to the TA! family.

That said, I absolutely love where TA! is going! The additions you plan for More Treasure Awaits seem really exciting.

What format will MTA! be? Pocket sized (which I love, BTW)? Or full-sized (which would make me run off and get a box-set sooner)?

I haven't finalized the new creatures yet. I think a book of beasts would be great. Send it over if you have my email - otherwise use the contact form and I'll send my personal email address to you. As far as size, it will be pocket-sized. The boxed set books are only slightly larger though, just separate, so it will also fit in the box.

The changes sound excellent.

By "changes" I mean additions to the system :)

Yeah, it kind of got away from me for the better :) I think this will really give that bit of extra that people have been craving.

Well, I never saw the lack of "extras" as a failing. No more so than the Basic (D&D) book's lack of "extras" was a failing. MTA! will simply take the game up a notch, kinda like the Expert set did for D&D. Up a notch is good...very good!
