I really like Mystic Ages' games. Its owner, Nathan Hill is also a great guy. Some might know him from Eldritch Ass Kicking, in which wizards battle it out. His latest release is Foreign Element, a science-fiction RPG of military action. It's not your ordinary military action game though, as the core system focuses on descriptors. It's a little similar to Story Engine. I like trait-based systems like this - simple and non-encumbering (Shhh, don't tell anyone, but I am working on a trait-based supers system). Now, I haven't actually seen the game. I'm just going off its description, previews, and some reviews I've read. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to pick it up based on Mystic Ages' track record. There's a PDF available now, but I'll probably wait for a softcover -- I'm hoping that Nathan produces one. | 3 Comments | Add Comment | Permanent Link | | Return to Overview | trekfan Commented: | Nov 03, 2013 | 10:10 pm | |
