Probably one of the lesser known genreDiversion titles is Vice Squad: Miami Nights. Peter Spahn took the original Vice Squad (Pre-GDi version) and turned it into a great sourcebook for playing cops and robbers in the 1980s. Think Miami Vice, T.J. Hooker, or Starsky & Hutch! Not a stand-alone game, this book requires the genreDiversion i Manual - while any genreDiversion i-based core game can also be used, the vehicle rules require the genreDiversion i Manual or EarthAD.2 (use the Transport rules).

Vice Squad: Miami Under Fire is an adventure add-on. A Vice Squad Bundle is also available at a huge discount.

I played this game once, and it was an absolute blast! This easily one of my favorite GDi titles, and was the first GDi title I bought. It is what introduced me to PIG (thank the Gaming Gods), and to one of my favorite gaming writers, Pete Spahn (once again, thank the Gaming Gods). It is deceptively amazing how fun playing 80's cops can be, especially if you work hard at preserving the cheesiness of most of the shows like we did. Still, I see no reason the game could not also be played in a much more gritty fashion like it's Miami Vice inspiration. I even played through GTA Vice City again to gain some inspiration and atmosphere when we played this. It helped that I lived in south Florida for a number of years as well, but games of MN can be played in any city/setting really. I highly recommend this game, if you have any interest in cops/crime/police procedural games at all, you won't regret it.
