Bloodshadows 3EJun 12, 2015 | 3:02 am
I've been working on Bloodshadows 3E, which will be a stand-alone game using the genreDiversion 3E rules. This will be a lot of fun with lots of options. Fantasy meets noir meets horror. Play various types of demons, shifters, half-breeds, and undead. Oh yeah, humans too :)

I revised magic a bit. Casting pursuits like alchemy and sorcery are for casting spells, while magic theory pursuits like apportation and summoning are for creating new spells. Spellslingers have access to any spells related to the casting pursuits they possess thanks to their grimoires. Other types of characters get a very limited number of spells but can learn more. Basically, yes, anyone can use magic with the proper pursuits. There's also simple cantrips that anyone can use without the fear of magical feedback. The most work on this will probably be recreating all the spells.

Sweet, can't wait for this. Great setting, but I don't like the d6 or Masterbook games as much as GD3.

I hear you, plus it definitely needs to be a stand-alone game.
