Elementals in Bloodshadows 3E...
These were only hinted at in the original books by way of pure elemental realms. One of the spells in the current version transports objects to a realm of pure fire, destroying that object. So, how do we bring elemental beings to Marl? Are there elemental beings or just pure elemental energies?
If there are elemental beings, they can be summoned just like demons. Otherwise, I suppose there are three ways to handle it. The first is to use an existing element, such as a puddle of water, air trapped in a jar, or fire constantly stoked. The second is to conjure the desired element. The third is to invoke the element from an elemental realm.
Once that is done, it must be imbued with life, just like a Homunculus. The last method above is obviously a lot more work, but perhaps this raw elemental energy is easier to imbue with intelligence, since it has no Marl impurities. Worth a think on that one. |
