Precis Intermedia is set to bring back another vintage RPG. This time it's Castle Perilous by James T. Sheldon from 1980. This game uses very unique mechanics that are much simpler than many other of the time. For example, 3 six-sided dice are rolled to match certain hit brackets, depending on the target's armor, weapon reach, and attacker's level. These same brackets can be used to create new benchmarks for other types of rolls besides combat. Magic is also unique with players (not just their characters) having to recall a spell's characteristics for them to work properly. Look for a low-cost classic reprint of this extremely rare roleplaying game in the near future.
